In Ft Lauderdale I would suggest Southport Raw Bar; the downstairs, casual bar at 15th Street Fisheries; for real "down and dirty" try LeTub in Hollywood or Jimbo's Sand Bar

I was at The Cove Deerfield on friday for Lunch .. the breeze on the back bar was outstanding even though it was over 90. and plenty of space to dock many boats and a guy to help you tie up.
